Chairman
Paul has lived with his family in Glenhills for more than 30 years. He has been involved in the Ratepayers Association for most of that time and has served under 4 different Chair-persons, initially meeting in different homes, churches and for more than 2 years now at Rivers Church who have been a most welcoming host.
Paul's goal is to continually improve municipal service delivery by engaging Ethekwini officials to enforce City by-laws in general and Court Orders applicable to the Malacca informal settlement. New and younger members is another focus to ensure the Ratepayers Association remains relevant to all residents by actioning service delivery issues and not just discussing them.
Vice-Chair
Sam’s passion is building stronger, healthier, and more connected communities. Whether it’s empowering local businesses, improving healthcare access, or creating opportunities for youth and women, my focus has always been on making a real difference where it matters most. By Profession I am a Behaviour Change Specialist and Program Designer, I design and implement programs that promote health engagement, social behaviour change, and Sociofiscal upliftment, particularly in underserved areas.
But my work extends beyond healthcare. I believe in active community engagement, which is why I’m involved in projects that uplift urban areas, create job opportunities, and support local businesses. I work closely with local government, businesses, and non-profits to drive initiatives that tackle education, job creation, and social development. My goal is to turn challenges into opportunities by collaborating with the right people, designing impactful programs, and ensuring that we make shift happen!

Tracy's extensive history of community involvement showcases a strong dedication to social betterment. Before relocating to Glen-Anil in 2013, her work in Ladysmith focused on vital rural community support. This included practical assistance like skills training and food collection, as well as broader initiatives such as awareness campaigns.
Upon moving to Durban, her focus shifted to addressing critical social issues, particularly human trafficking and abuse against women and children. This demonstrates her adaptability and willingness to tackle diverse community challenges.
Currently, Tracy is channeling her 30+ years of experience into her local community of Glen-Anil and Glenhills. This transition signifies a commitment to localised impact, building upon her established record of effective community service.
